Walking Festivals 2017

The following dates have now been confirmed for these great walking festivals taking place in 2017 – be sure to get them in your diary!

Boots N Bogs Festival, Co. Fermanagh & Co. Monaghan, 20-23rd April
Organised by The Knockatallon and Cooneen Rambling clubs this cross-border, two-day festival in the Sliabh Beagh Hills of North Monaghan & East Fermanagh features routes through lush green landscape, forests and blanket bog.

Walk the Glens, Glenariff, Cushendun & Cushendall, Co. Antrim, 2nd-4th June 
Local walks led by local people. This festival not only provides walkers with breath-taking routes but also informs and educates on the culture and history of this famous area.

Mourne International Walking Festival, Warrenpoint, Co. Down, 23rd-25th June
This internationally recognised festival offers stunning guided and self-guided routes showcasing the Mourne Mountains and surrounding countryside in all it's glory. 

Caslterock Walkfest, Co. Derry~Londonderry, 6th-9th September 
A weekend of guided walks along the beautiful North Coast. The stunning area will be explored through a series of hill walks, history walks and family walks.

UFRC Spring Gathering

A day of inspirational talks and workshops for walking enthusiasts, the first Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs Spring Gathering will take place on Saturday 4th March at Greenmount College, Co. Antrim.

Hear an inspirational talk from the first Irish woman to summit Mt. Everest, Hannah Shields before attending a range of practical and interactive workshops including first aid and navigation.

You don’t have to be a UFRC member to attend, find out more and book now

What's On?

From charity fundraising walks to navigation courses for those wanting to improve their skills and unique outdoor walks to entertain the kids over half term there are lots of walking events happening this February and March.
