'The Big Walking Trail' Launches at Sir Thomas & Lady Dixon Park

Belfast City Council are pleased to annouce the launch of 3 new signposted trails in Sir Thomas & Lady Dixon Park, highlighting the best parts of this 128 acre park on a range of walking trails.

Located just a stones throw from Belfast City Centre discover one of Belfast’s most picturesque parks; rich in horticultural and historical interest. With a cafe and fantastic playpark, this really should be on everyones summer checklist.

The Garden Trail (1.1 miles)  
Discover the Japanese Garden and Golden Crown Fountain commissioned for the Queen's Golden Jubilee.

The Meadow Trail (1.78 miles)
Explore the perimeter of the park and enjoy the flora and fauna on offer in the magnificent meadows.

The Woodland Trail (1.93 miles)
Take in spectacular views over the entire park as you explore the meadows & dense woodland.
