Value Of Urban Wetlands

In Celebration of World Wetlands Day at the start of February, the team from Ulster Wildlife have been celebrating the value of urban wetlands for people and wildlife.

One of our most iconic wetlands is Bog Meadows, in west Belfast, located just off the M1. Aidan Crean shares his passion for this award-winning 19 ha site - a great spot for bird watching, pond-dipping or simply escaping the city - filmed as part of the RTE’ One 'Wild Cities' series. UFRC Spring Gathering- An Event For Walkers

The Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs invite you to attend the upcoming Spring Gathering, to be held in Greenmount College, Co. Antrim on Saturday 3rd March 2018.

The not to be missed guest speakers this year include; Irish mountaineer, explorer, writer & RTE broadcaster Dermot Somers and Hillwalking, Access & Conservation Officer Helen Lawless from Mountaineering Ireland.

The event, which booked out last year, is a fantastic opportunity to meet other walking club members, walking enthusiasts and includes a series of exciting workshops designed to help enhance your walking experience.
